St Mary's Church, Rawtenstall

meet friends, meet God, live life to the full

Welcome to St Mary's Church!

St Mary's Tower

St Mary's Church is part of the Diocese of Manchester, within the Church of England, where we witness our faith and serve the people of Rawtenstall in Lancashire. We share our love for God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit through praise, prayer, and worship during Sunday Services; and by demonstrating our Christian faith through our everyday lives.

We hope that you will join us in the worship of our Lord Jesus Christ on Sundays or take part in the activities facilitated through the church. All are welcome, no membership required.  This website aims to outline the range of activities and events taking place at St Mary's Church. All are welcome. We have a large congregation that represents all age groups and people from a diverse range of backgrounds within the local community.

Reverend Martin Short is the Priest-in-Charge, Borough and Area Dean of Rossendale. He is supported by Reverend Julie Barratt and Reader Mrs Dorothy Newton, and a dedicated team of people who have volunteered to take on additional responsibilities. Together we make St Mary's the vibrant and living church that you can experience today.

St Mary's Church has close links with St Mary's Primary School and other local churches, especially St Pauls at Constable Lee, and Longholme Methodist Church.

We have created a page to tell you more about the history of our church.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any help or further information.
